Another year, another DTIYS!
I’m excited to announce that Kromatic Games’ “Draw This In Your Style” contest is back for its second year!
This time, we’re setting sail with a brand-new Champion: This years drawing will be of the fearsome pirate captain J.V. Dones!
For this contest you must draw Captain J.V. Dones in your own unique style. Take the original design and have fun, put your own spin on this new champion.
You’ll have one month to enter, and just like last year, there will be one winner and the artist will receive $100 USD!
The winning artwork will also become a special promo card. Just like our last contest, this promo card will be included as an extra bonus card in a future product for Champion of Crosantten.
How to Enter
1. Post your artwork on Instagram and tag @kromaticgames
Use the hashtag #DTIYS26KromaticGames
2. Your submission must be 100% original artwork.
No AI-generated images.
Please include sketches, WIPs, or progress shots in your post. Seeing the artwork come to life is honestly my favorite part!
3. You must accept PayPal as your payment method.
4. You must be 18 years or older to enter.
5. Your finished artwork must be 8 × 10 inches and high resolution.
The work can be black & white or full color; either option is fine.
If you’d like to draw Captain J.V. Dones without entering the competition, you’re more than welcome to tag me and show off your artwork! Just make sure your caption clearly says “for fun” so we know it isn’t a contest entry.
So who is Captain J.V. Dones?
Captain J.V. Dones is one of the fearsome pirate lords of Terria North. He was cursed by the sea to resemble a creature of the deep. Originally a Pomlum similar to Flameo, Captain J.V. Dones resembles something a bit different now, but this little Pomlum carries great status for his size. I want to see how you add your own spin on this original art.
The Prize
$100 USD + your artwork featured as an official promo card art for Captain J.V. Dones!
If you’re selected as the winner, you’ll be asked to sign a contract granting Kromatic Games full commercial rights to the artwork. You will still receive credit on the card as the illustrator, and you’re welcome to feature the artwork in your portfolio and make prints of it if you wish.

BONUS: Following @kromaticgames earns bonus points just like last year and they do add up each year.
Bonus points mean absolutely nothing and will not affect your chances of winning.
