The Story of Flameo is a tale of a small fire Pomlum who dared to forge his own path. Flameo was a Champion created during development but was never originally planned to be released with Lombard’s Labyrinth. However, while finishing the game’s artwork, I was told about a fun online challenge known as DTIYS—“Draw This In Your Style,” where artists reinterpret an existing piece of art in their own unique way.
 

Inspired by the idea, we invited artists to redraw Flameo and share their versions online, with the winning entry being printed as a promotional card in the game’s first production run. The response was incredible—over 100 unique Flameo illustrations were submitted, each one bringing its own personality and creativity to the character.
 

Seeing so many different interpretations of Flameo was truly inspiring, and it transformed him from a future concept into a Champion shaped by the community itself.
