Artist Spotlight: S. Anderson

Klaus, an unreleased pomlum champion.

S. Anderson is an artist that works both in physical and digital media. In fact - she is the artist that created this website! In terms of board game artwork, she has lent her talents to three champion artworks and several item cards as well. Though some champions are unreleased, stay tuned to find out when they will become available.

Klaus was the first champion that Anderson createed artwork for. Given a general description of the character as well as a basic reference image, she created his artwork with watercolor. "I love to use watercolor paint because it is very natural to me. The fluidity of the paint, the use of color mixing and layering, it has become a favorite media of mine. I was drawn to Klaus because I actually love to paint clouds; they are cute and fluffy and colorful, and the best part is they can look like anything, so there is no right or wrong way to make them."

"In my artwork, I am a big fan of using a restricted color palette, especially complementary colors. The use of purple and yellow together really makes the content pop. The warm colors make the glow of the moon feel like it is cozy and warm, while the cool colors everywhere else gives the idea of a cool and crisp night."
